The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home by using a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined home income would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing 2025 nsfas application middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research in a public university or TVET nsfas application college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public more info universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
